Delicious Flavours, Amazing Tastes & Vibrant Colours!

Moving Menus offers you a wide range of Indian Food from both South and North India delivered directly to your door, hot and on time. The north Indian dishes are not as spicy or as hot as the dishes from the south but all of these dishes use loads of spices to create an amazing array of colours and delicious flavours. Spicy, sour and sweet. Aromatic, mild and hot.

Spices are a part of the Indian cuisine and they not only add colour and flavour to your meal but the spices keep your body healthy as they have nutrients in them that add all the goodies to your meal without adding any extra fat. Spices are natural and raw and add a nutritional value to all the dishes.

Over 20 spices are used in Indian cuisines. Bay leaves; cardamom; cayenne pepper; chillies; chilli powder; cilantro; cinnamon; cloves; cokum; caraway seeds; coriander seeds; cumin; curry leaves; curry powder; fennel; fenugreek; garam masala; garlic; ginger; mango powder; mint; mustard seeds; nutmeg; mace; onion seeds; ajwain; paprika powder; peppercorns; poppy seeds; saffron; tamarind and turmeric. Other ingredients are then used to make the dishes either sweet, sour or spicy. Lime juice; tomatoes; coconut milk; yoghurt; cream and dry fruits are the most popular food items added to dishes.

Moving Menus offers customers authentic Indian delicacies and all the popular favourites as well as many innovative dishes with the menu from Maya Da Dhaba restaurant. A favourite among locals from Surry Hills, Moving Menus is able to bring you this fabulous Indian cuisine directly to your door throughout all suburbs within the inner city, inner south and Sydney CBD.

Maya Da Dhaba has a delicious range of breads from the tandoor. There are various types of naan breads that are plain or with garlic & cheese or stuffed with spicy minced meat or sultanas, nuts and sweet spices which can be a meal within themselves. Combined with a vegetable curry for example and some mango chutney and mixed pickle, it makes for the perfect Indian meal. Roti, which is made from 100% organic wholemeal flour and Paratha, which is a thin style bread like a crepe, is also on the menu.

And of course no Indian meal would be complete without Basmati rice, which is the best variety of rice to use with curries and savoury dishes. Grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, Basmati rice is known as the prince of the rice because of its flavour and smell. Basmati has a nutty flavour and a great aroma. Basmati means “the fragrant one” so this is extremely fitting when you smell and taste it. Another style of rice dish is the Biryani which comes from a different region and is rice that is cooked with vegetables, chicken, lamb or goat on the bone and whole spices, saffron and mint. A true meal within itself! You can’t go past the vegetarian curries which consist of a lovely combination of cottage cheese, peas, potatoes, lentils, chick peas, eggplant, mushrooms and cauliflower mixed with herbs and spices to give mouth watering curries that smell delightful.

Plus if you order your Maya Da Dhaba meal with Moving Menus and spend over $55 or more then you will receive a BONUS vegetarian curry.
