Don’t you just love Japanese food? It’s fresh, healthy, some of the ingredients remain raw and are therefore bursting with vitamins and others, like Tempura, may make you feel a little naughty but everyone loves it. You can’t go past a good tempura prawn or tempura vegetable dish.

The Japanese use a variety of meats, vegetables and hundreds of different seafood like fish, prawns and shellfish which are either raw, grilled , deep fried or steamed.

Sushi – the most popular and famous Japanese dish!

Sushi is so healthy for your body – a low calorie choice if you choose the right one. Tuna, salmon, avocado and vegetable sushi are all good healthy choices. And the best thing is that sushi is wrapped in seaweed which detoxes the body, produces a healthy brain and helps your immune system. Plus it gives you loads of energy. It’s a great choice for any hungry corporate team.

Moving Menus has a wide range of sushi platters available for 2-4 people to share. The platters consist of assorted sushi with seasonal fish including salmon, tuna, kingfish & prawn plus salmon avocado rolls, teriyaki chicken rolls, beef teriyaki rolls, California rolls, cooked tuna rolls and vegetarian rolls. There are many different kinds of sushi and Moving Menus offers the most popular sushi dishes.

Among the variety is Nigiri sushi, which is a small rice ball with a topping on it. Moving Menus offers 14 different kinds of Nigiri: egg; squid; octopus; salmon; kingfish; salmon belly; tuna; eel; kingfish belly; prawn; salmon grilled; deep fried kingfish; deep fried prawn and scampi. You can order individual Nigiri or an assorted platter to be shared.

Inari is another type of sushi that Moving Menus offers. This style is where the sushi rice is filled into deep fried tofu bags and this style is included on the various sushi platters and is also served as individual portions.

Sashimi (thinly sliced raw seafood)

Sashimi is a very popular Japanese dish and is rich in omega-3s. It’s great for your body’s blood pressure and helps lower cholesterol. Sashimi, like other sushi varieties are available in individual portions, in platters and also in bento boxes. You would usually enjoy your sashimi with soya sauce or Japan’s famous horseradish called Wasabi which is a green coloured paste that kicks a real punch! Moving Menus also offers customers Gyuashi, which is a beef sashimi.

Donburi

Donburi is a bowl of rice that has meat on the top. Moving Menus’ most popular Donburi dishes are the Chicken Donburi which has grilled teriyaki & salad on top of rice; BBQ beef with salad on top of rice; Deep fried chicken called Chicken Karaage with salad on top of rice and last but not least pan fried salmon with salad on top of rice.

Agemono (deep fried)

Gyoza is a delicious Japanese deep fried food. Gyoza is Japan’s famous dumpling that is filled with seafood or pork. Gyoza originally came from China and has now become very popular in Japan.

Udon

Udon are noodles made of wheat flour that are cooked in a soup with seafood, tempura items or vegetables. • Yaki Udon are fried noodles and Moving Menus offers 4 varieties including seafood, chicken, beef and vegetable.

Yakimono (the grill bar)

Consists of grilled spicy Wagyu and grilled scallop & prawn to mention a few.

Edamame

(lightly salted Japanese soya bean) is very popular and is often served with Japanese green beans.

Tempura

Tempura is one of the most well known Japanese dishes and is extremely popular. Tempura is pieces of seafood like prawns, calamari and different types of vegetables covered in tempura batter and deep fried. The Portuguese brought Tempura to Japan many centuries ago and it is now one of the most famous Japanese dishes around the world.

Payment

How much does it cost?
All you have to pay are the menu costs and a small delivery fee of $6.95. Orders under $20 are subject to a minimum order fee of $2.00. All prices include GST.

How can I pay?
1. Cash: If you need change from a large note please let us know so that we can arrange the appropriate change for you.

2. Credit Card: For your convenience we accept all cards.  Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diner’s Club. An 80 cents credit card fee applies for all credit card transactions


Delivery

How long does delivery take?
Delivery is usually within 60 minutes from the time of your order to when the driver delivers your hot, freshly prepared restaurant meal. Some delays may be experienced on occasion due to busy restaurant kitchens, adverse weather or traffic.

We will advise your delivery time upon ordering and will keep you informed.
