The Moving Menus Story

We come from a large family that all live busy lives. We have sisters who are working mums and have children ranging from 18-27, who mostly all still live at home. They need a little time out each week from the normal routine of having a home cooked meal on the table for the troops. Kids often think we have a never ending bout of energy oozing from us but after making the daily meals then having a full day’s work, it’s no wonder that we’re tired too.

We’re a working couple with a young family struggling with time. We get home, order dinner then start our night’s activities with the kids. The kids have a bath, do their homework, feed our dog and then dinner arrives. We sit down as a family and talk about our day over a freshly prepared meal. It maybe sushi one night, a seafood grill the next or as a treat after our Saturday taxi-run to sports games etc, we may sit down to a nice Indian or Thai meal.

We make it interesting for the kids. We discuss where the meals are coming from, get the Atlas out to show the kids where the countries are and discuss the cultures and foods that are typical in these countries. We literally go around the world in the comfort of our own home. It's good family fun and the kids love it. They now have their favourite dishes and regularly enjoy repeat performances from their favourite restaurants. You can also stay healthy with the varying menu items that are steamed, grilled or BBQ combined with a fresh selection of gourmet salads.

Inspired by family and friends

We got our inspiration for further developing our restaurant delivery service from our loved ones and friends. Most of our friends are either working couples struggling to find time for themselves during the week or are single and can’t be bothered preparing a freshly cooked meal for one. It’s more often cheese on toast and fish fingers for them! We also have a friend who is caring for a sick loved one so a couple of nights off a week, giving her a restaurant prepared meal is one thing less she has to worry about.

After establishing our business in the residential market, we branched into the corporate sector and hospitality industry.
