Pizza Restaurant Highlights
Elvis Pizza
Elvis Pizza is an Italian Restaurant with an Italian menu that has an American iconic theme & a Memphis feel. All the pizzas are named either after an Elvis movie, song or a place. It’s very trivial but it has given Elvis Pizza a uniqueness.
The original Elvis Pizza restaurant has been serving pizza for more than 30 years. Although famous for pizzas, pastas and ribs, Elvis Pizza is truly famous for tasty, great quality pizzas, topped with the freshest of ingredients and lots of them.
One of the most popular selling pizzas with Moving Menus is the 'Jailhouse rock'. This Pizza is a supreme topped with seafood ingredients such as marinated prawns, salmon and crab meat. The Viva Las Vegas pizza is also very popular. It’s a BBQ chicken pizza topped with mushrooms, capsicums and Spanish onions.
Elvis Pizza also offers ribs through Moving Menus which are US baby back ribs, tender and saturated in a special BBQ sauce. The ribs are so tender that the pork just slides off the bone. A serving of ribs comes with an Italian salad and garlic bread. Elvis’ pizza bases are unique. Developed by an Italian chef, the bases are light but rise to give the base fullness and a crisp crust. The bases are not over cooked or burnt, but rather lightly toasted to maintain the taste of the ingredients.
Wood & Stone
Wood & Stone has been in operation since 1995 and has been created around the concept of cooking pizza in the traditional Italian way, on the stone floor of a wood fired oven.
This method of cooking accompanied with the use of innovative toppings, combines to give Wood & Stone’s pizzas a distinctive taste and offers a simple & contemporary eating style. Pizzas are approximately 24cm in diameter and are topped with Wood & Stone’s own tomato base. The pizza dough and sauces are all made on site. Wood & Stone use small quantities of a high quality mozzarella in addition to other cheeses and for the toppings, only the freshest of ingredients are used.
The most popular Wood & Stone pizzas sold through Moving Menus are the Supreme, Margherita and chicken pizzas.
The Woodfired Supreme pizza is delicious. It’s topped with double smoked ham, pepperoni salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, red onions, green capsicum, pineapple, kalamata olives with mozzarella & tasty cheddar cheese garnished with oregano.
The Margherita pizza is simple and cooked to perfection with roma tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan & fresh basil. Moving Menus has three popular chicken pizzas that are the best sellers.
Your mouth will start watering whilst reading the description of each chicken pizza as they are just delicious. First up is the Garlic Glazed Chicken pizza which is topped with sliced chicken fillet marinated in garlic, honey, soy sauce & chilli tossed in toasted sesame seeds with a sharp cheddar cheese, shallots & chives. The next chicken pizza is Camembert Chicken which is topped with chicken, camembert cheese, roma tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, marjoram & Dijon crème fraiche. And last but not least is the Chicken Fajita pizza. Your taste buds will be crazy with this pizza. It’s topped with sliced chicken fillet in fajita marinade with red onion, roasted capsicum, guacamole, sour cream & fresh coriander.
Danny’s La Bussola
La Bussola Restaurant (as it was originally known) has been operating since 1990. Danny, the current owner, took over the restaurant in October 2001 and changed the name to Danny's La Bussola.
La Bussola restaurant was famous for introducing thin crust pizza to the Darlinghurst and Eastern Suburbs area. When Danny took over the restaurant, he continued with this trend and made his mark by introducing new flavours that were a combination of his Italian and South American background.
All the foods have a special quality, however, Pizza, is what Danny’s La Bussola restaurant excells at. Danny has spent many hours perfecting the dough and introducing new pizzas that create that special something no one else has.
All the pizzas are popular so it’s hard to choose the best one but why not try L'Inferno, Supreme or BBQ chicken just to name a few and you will keep coming back for more. L’Inferno includes hot pepperoni, anchovies, mushrooms, olives, garlic and hot chilli – delicious! Supreme, of course, has the lot and BBQ Chicken has BBQ chicken pieces, crispy bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms and BBQ sauce – an absolute favourite!
Pizzas come in 3 convenient sizes: small (18cm diameter), medium (22cm diameter) and large (26cm diameter).
Other pizza options include Hawaiian, Putanesca, BBQ Meatlovers, Fresh Spinach & Tomato, Hot Tuna, Baby Octopus, BBQ Pizza Bacon, Boconchilli and Mari Lamb. For the true Italian pizza look no further than Danny’s La Bussola.
